Websites for Home Service Contractors

Trades & Home Services in Hampton Roads

A Website That Makes the Phone Ring

When a homeowner in Virginia Beach needs a landscaper, an HVAC tech, a plumber, or someone to refinish a tub, they search Google on their phone and call one of the first two or three businesses that look legitimate. If your site is slow, outdated, or buried on page three, that call goes to a competitor. Most of my clients are trades and home service companies in Hampton Roads, and that is the problem I build sites to solve.

I hand-code every site. No WordPress themes, no page builders, no plugins to break. That is why they load in under a second on a phone, pass Google's performance tests, and rank for the searches your customers actually type: your trade, plus your city. A five-page Launch Site is $3,500, and it includes the contact form and Google Analytics setup that turn traffic into quote requests you can count.

Real Numbers From Client Sites

What a Contractor Website Should Produce

Google Analytics from three Hampton Roads client sites, trailing twelve months. These are quote requests and search visits, not vanity metrics.

  • 12/mo Quote requests through the contact form Virginia Beach tub-refinishing company, 145 form submissions in 12 months
  • 2 in 3 Visitors arriving from a Google search Virginia Beach auto repair shop, 66% of sessions from organic search
  • 1,650+ Visitors in twelve months Virginia Beach marine services company

Figures are from Google Analytics on live client sites. Ask on a call and I'll walk you through the numbers behind them.

Built for the Trades

What Every Contractor Site I Build Includes

  • A tap-to-call phone number on every screen, because most of your visitors are on a phone in a hurry
  • A quote request form that asks for the job and the address, and lands in your inbox in seconds
  • A page for each service you offer, so "tub refinishing Virginia Beach" and "pool step repair" each have a page to rank
  • Before-and-after project galleries you can update yourself, no developer needed
  • Google reviews, licenses, and certifications displayed where a homeowner looks for them
  • LocalBusiness schema and service-area pages, so Google knows exactly where you work
  • Google Analytics configured to count quote requests and calls, not just page views
  • A local developer who answers the phone; I'm in Virginia Beach, not a ticket queue

Common Questions

Contractor Website FAQs

How much does a website cost for a contractor or home service business?

A five-page Launch Site is $3,500 as a one-time fee, and it covers what most trades businesses need: home, services, about, project gallery, and contact. Businesses with several service lines or service areas usually need a larger site, which I quote individually. Hosting and maintenance plans start at $99 a month after launch. Full details are on the pricing page.

I already get most of my work from referrals. Do I still need a website?

Referrals still get checked. When a neighbor recommends you, the homeowner searches your name, looks at your site and reviews, and decides whether to call. A site that looks current and shows your work turns a referral into a call. A missing or outdated one sends them back to Google, where your competitors are waiting.

Can I add my own project photos after the site launches?

Yes. When a project gallery is part of the build, I set up a simple editor so you can upload before-and-after photos and reorder projects from your phone or laptop. One of my refinishing clients has added more than twenty projects on their own. Anything bigger than a photo or a line of text is covered by your hosting and maintenance plan.

How long does it take to build?

About two weeks to build and two weeks for your review and revisions once I have your content and photos. Google typically takes a few months to fully index a new site, so the search traffic builds over the first six months rather than overnight.

Will I know whether the website is actually bringing in work?

Yes. Every site I build has Google Analytics configured to count the things that matter to a contractor: quote request submissions and phone taps. You get a plain-English number, not a dashboard full of page views, and we can review it together whenever you want.
